The SAJ was established in 1998 and based in Wadeville, Germiston. This reputable entity was established under the proprietorship of two honorable gentlemen by the names of Mr. Seabata Samuel Nhlapo and partner Mr. Johannes Christiaan Greeff. Over the 26 years of our establishment, we have gained recognition as one of the best training centers reckoned for its high standards and Quality Artisans.

We are a professional service provider offering Technical training in the following fields; Electrical, Mechanical Fitting, Turning, Fitting & Turning, Tool, Jig & Die Making, Millwright, Welding & Boiler making. We also offer FET Nated courses. These courses are offered on the following disciplines; Institutionalised Training/Learnership and Short courses. We are a QCTO/NAMB/SETA recognized Decentralized Trade Test Centre.

We are renowned for offering flexible training intakes in terms of Apprenticeship/Learnership Training and Short Courses. Our FET intake is per trimester and Trade Testing is done as per NAMB/SETA approvals.

Apprenticeship training is a Four Phased theoretical & practical training for the duration of 24/32 weeks, followed by Trade Test after the prescribed on the job exposure. The entry specifications for the apprenticeship training is strictly N2 and/ Grade 12 or Grade 11 with Mathematics & Science.

We offer customised non-credit bearing Short Courses at a basic level in different disciplines

This is a form of credit bearing unit standard/module based tuition offered on a short term basis for which a learner may obtain a certain number of credits towards a registered qualification.

After Hours is Training offered on Saturdays on all forms of medium/long term training for all trades and Short courses to accommodate trainees who are unable to attend during the week.

We welcome applicants with S3/S4 University Qualifications to do Practice 1 (P1) Training.

ARPL Assessment:

ARPL stands for Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning. It is a method of determining if a candidate can attempt a Trade Test based on the knowledge and experience gained in the workplace.

Trade Test Readiness Assessments are done with the mission to identify knowledge and skills gaps prior to attempting the Trade Test.

This is a form of revision subsequent to the knowledge and skills gaps identified in the Readiness Assessments, done to ascertain that the individual/candidate is ready for the actual Trade Test.
