MISSION STATEMENT

 

The saj Compentency Training Institute will always strive towards improving the quality of life for all South Africans. We will accomplish this by providing quality training relevant to the priorities of the Nasional Skills Authority, private and public sector business needs. Our task therefore will be to reduce unemployment by providing usable skills and also helping those who will start their own business, and by so doing, creating work opportunities for others.

 

OUR VISION

 

In future our aim is to open training centers in all nine provinces of South Africa. This will happen because we are committed to be a reputable provider of training throughout South Africa.

We have accreditation from Merseta to conduct trade tests for apprentices in the trades of Boilermaker, Welder, Electrician, Fitter, Turner, Fitter & Turner and Millwright

 

TECHNISKILLING OF OPERATIONS PERSONEL

 

Any combination from the artisan learnership unit standards can be selected by clients to suit their organisation needs for personnel development and performance improvement. (SKILLS PROGRAMME)

ASSESSOR TRAINING

 

Under a license agreement with Assessment College of SA (Pty) Ltd we offer assessor training in term of the unit standard Conduct Outcomes Based Assessment Code 115753.

 

TECHNICAL TRAINING STRENGHTS

 

When evaluating alternative suppliers, account must be taken of two critical factors, i.e. quality of training and service and cost.  We believe that on both counts our institute offers excellent value and service.

 PROFESSIONAL TRAINING FACILITATORS

All our subject matter experts are qualified and registered assessors.

 

LEARNER SUPPORT SERVICES

 

Our ETQA Manager / Moderator is specifically tasked to monitor the on-job component of learnership and apprentice training. He provides advice and training assistance to ensure compliance by all parties to the artisans learning experience.

 

PORTFOLIO OF EVIDENCE LOG BOOK DEVELOPMENT

 

All learners and apprentices are trained and assessed to the requirements of registered Unit Standards and modules and a portfolio of evidence is developed for learners and a logbook completed for apprentices.  Employers receive a monthly and end of programme progress report.

P1 EXPERIENTIAL TRAINING

 

We are an approved provider of P1 experiential training for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering for the following Universities of Technology.

RANGE OF TRAINING OFFERED

 

In addition to formal artisan learnerships we are totally committed to customise training to the specific operational requirements of customers.  Major projects include Mechanical and Electrical training for production operators and a programme for machine setter multiskilling/Atrami Training.
